NIKKI BEACH RESIDENCE

This project began with a desire for expression. Set within a luxurious beachfront development, the brief was to transform an otherwise neutral space into a home with presence, character, and a strong sense of identity.

The living and kitchen area was conceived as a statement space, almost gallery-like in its composition. Warmth was introduced through herringbone wood flooring, while a clean ceiling plane with a refined rectangular lighting track created structure and rhythm. At the heart of the space sits a glossy burgundy-tiled kitchen island, designed to appear as though it floats, anchoring the room with quiet confidence.

Materiality plays a central role throughout. Dark veneered cabinetry and a Nero Arabesco marble backsplash bring depth and contrast, while integrated appliances maintain a sense of calm and visual continuity. The client’s art collection was carefully framed into the design, becoming a focal point rather than an afterthought, elevated by custom detailing and soft accents.

Opposite the living area, a bespoke joinery wall combines wood veneer, marble, and burnished metal shelving, introducing a subtle masculine edge without overwhelming the space. Furniture was selected to complement the architecture, with custom cream pieces, warm-toned wood, and an iconic 1970s leather armchair adding layers of texture and personality.

The result is a home that feels bold yet balanced, expressive yet timeless. A space where material, light, and art coexist effortlessly, and where the client was given the freedom to fully inhabit their vision.
