EDEN HOUSE - THE CANAL

This project began with a clear focus on craftsmanship. Set within Eden House The Canal, a new-build residence overlooking Dubai's waterfront, the two-bedroom apartment already had strong architectural bones. Rather than a full redesign, the brief was to give the home its own identity through bespoke joinery and custom built-ins, turning a well-built shell into a space that feels personal, considered and complete.

In the main living area, materiality sets the tone. Dark wood veneers bring warmth and depth, offset by the cool, fluid veining of Fusion blue marble, a natural stone that echoes the canal views beyond the windows. Antique mirror and metal cladding add a layered, reflective quality, while mirror cladding was used strategically to visually double the space, drawing light deeper into the apartment and amplifying the waterfront outlook.

Each bedroom was approached as its own composition, with complete built-in joinery and bespoke upholstered headboards, each crafted in a different wood veneer to give every room a distinct character. The master bedroom leans into richness and calm, wrapped in a dark veneer that creates an enveloping, hotel-like atmosphere. Opposite the bed, a full floating vanity is seamlessly embedded into the joinery, combining function and elegance in a single, uninterrupted gesture.

The girls' bedroom takes a softer direction. Inspired by the ease of a beach house, it pairs light burl wood with a pale, airy colour palette, creating a space that feels fresh, relaxed and playful without losing its sense of refinement.

The result is a home defined by detail. Through custom joinery, considered material pairings and thoughtful use of reflection and light, the apartment now feels tailored to the way its owners live, with every surface designed to belong to the space.
